One of my first freelance projects in 2021 was creative direction and project management for Q Mixers. As the Official Mixer of Tales of the Cocktail, Q Mixers was seeking a marketing campaign that would help their allow active participation from their bartender audience during COVID-19 gathering restrictions.
I worked with both Q Mixers and Tales of the Cocktail Foundation to develop a campaign that incorporated mentorship opportunities with a variety of industry thought leaders, provided liquid-to-lips cocktail opportunities to mentees and social media give-away winners, and hosted daily virtual happy hours that paired and interviewed each of the featured mentors.
The campaign continued in 2022 as a video marketing campaign, inviting attendees back to New Orleans for the 20th anniversary Tales of the Cocktail conference and featuring industry leaders to share stories about why Tales is important and tips for attendees.
The collective campaign garnered over 3M impressions and nearly 95K engagements.
