I began making jewelry in 2018 under the name, grimace jewelry. This craft began as a way to keep busy during a challenging time. grimace jewelry is an embodiment of emotion.
grimace became the first personal project I treated as if I were a branding client. Its original logo was haphazardly made in Canva using an Apple Notes line drawing. Rebranding grimace allowed me to refine the brand's foundational elements and create a strong brand identity. The result is a custom font, refined logo, and distinct brand voice to tell the stories of each handcrafted personal adornment.
